Offset Slams Georgia’s Abortion Ban: “I’m not proud to say I’m from America!”
Migos rapper Offset is taking a page from his wife, Cardi B‘s, book and raising his concerns with the most recent political controversy. He took to Twitter to discuss his home state of Georgia and Alabama’s abortion ban and restrictions. He compared the laws to modern-day slavery. He tweeted:
“New laws is slavory
To force a rape victim to keep a child is SLAVORY IM NOT PROUD TO SAY IM FROM AMERICA!!!”
Autocorrect is quick, but trolls are quicker. Offset acknowledged his grammatical mistakes in the midst of a spelling bee in his mentions. He said:
“I miss spelled the word from anger sorry yal smh”

Controversial Black Republican, CJ Pearson, responded to his comments, bringing up Offset’s and Cardi’s marital troubles. The “Clout” rapper responded. See the exchange below.

Meanwhile, journalist Gennette Cordova slammed trolls while pointing out that Offset is one of the few male celebrities to speak out against the attack on women’s reproductive rights.

What are your thoughts about Offset’s pro-choice stance? Let us know in the comments.Â
