Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Nessa Diab Denies Jay Z Spoke To Him About NFL Partnership: This Is A Lie!
Media personality of Hot97, Nessa Diab addressed reports that her boyfriend, former NFL quarterback turned activist, Colin Kaepernick was included in discussions between rap mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and the NFL. On Tuesday, Roc Nation founder Jay Z announced a multiyear partnership with the NFL. Following their deal, Jay Z was quoted as saying that he consulted with Kaepernick. Jay Z stated,
“I would never tell you what me and Kap’s private conversation was about. But we spoke, yeah.”
Nessa, who has been in a relationship with Kaepernick since 2015, and others who are close to former NFLer, state he was not involved with the initiative, nor did he get a heads up from Jay-z. Nessa tweeted:
“THIS is a lie. COLIN never spoke to Jay-Z and NFL ahead of that deal being done. They NEVER included him in any discussion.”

In addition to her comments on social media, Nessa continued on her radio show, allegedly stating:
“I don’t mind you doing a business deal – but I do mind you wrapping it in social justice when you’re working with an organization that denies someone an opportunity.”

During a press conference Wednesday, the rap mogul reiterated speaking with the Kaepernick.
“I’m not his boss. I can’t just bring him into something. That’s for him to say. We all do different things. We all work differently for the same results. I don’t knock what he’s doing, and hopefully he doesn’t knock what I’m doing.”
Since opting out of his contract with the 49ers in March 2017, Kaepernick has gone unsigned by all 32 organizations and practice teams.
