Colin Kaepernick’s Girlfriend Nessa Diab Slams Jay-Z: He Helped The NFL Bury Kaepernick, Don’t Tell Me There’s A Master Plan!
Jay-Z is still getting backlash after he inked a social justice partnership with the NFL. While he has said it’s a necessary next step in evolving the league, the girlfriend of Colin Kapernick, Nessa Diab, isn’t here for it. Kaepernick, who was once the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, first protested social injustice in 2016, in the heat of police brutality. He was allegedly blacklisted after that and has yet to land another position in the NFL.
Diab called out Jay-Z after he said the protests weren’t about getting Kaepernick a job, but rather to take steps toward social equality.
She wrote,
“I don’t care if it’s your favorite idol. No PR look will ever cover up the truth that @kaepernick7 is wrongfully unemployed because he protested against injustices happening to black and brown communities. PERIOD.”
She then slammed Jay-Z by name in another post.
“It’s typical for the NFL to buy different PR looks to cover up their dirt-that’s nothing new. But what is disgusting and disappointing is Jay-Z let them use him. Whether Jay-Z knew it or not (I don’t doubt his intelligence-so I would think he knew) he helped the NFL bury who he said is an iconic figure, Colin Kaepernick. Don’t tell me there’s a “master plan and wait for it” because the ONLY reason anything would ever change is because THE PEOPLE are loud and clear and won’t let the league buy their loyalty with their disingenuous moves. The people are letting the league and anyone who works with them know that they aren’t buying the bs.”
She added,
“Colin truly is the classiest person I know. While others try to make today about their business ventures, today marked the 3 years since Colin began peacefully protesting for social justice all while doing the work in the community (need a reminder? His million dollar donation to organizations doing the daily work, our Know Your Rights Camp that he funds, raising money to help stop the famine in Somalia, backpack drives, and all the stuff media won’t report on etc let google be your friend)”
She previously denied claims that Jay-Z had spoken to Kaepernick before signing the partnership.
