Chad Ochocinco Seemingly Reflects On Domestic Violence Incident With Ex Evelyn Lozada: I Lost My Temper For 3 Seconds Years ago & It Cost Me A Lifetime’s Worth Of Work
Chad Ochocinco Johnson possibly referenced a dark moment he had in the past, with “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada. The two were married for a little more than a month back in 2012. But things went left just weeks after they said “I do” as reports swirled that Evelyn Lozada filed for divorce after Chad Johnson allegedly head-butted her during a dispute in the car.
Now, Chad Johnson might have told one fan on Twitter that it was a learning lesson. When asked how he stays positive Monday (Dec. 9), Johnson replied,
“Sis, i lost my temper for 3 seconds years ago & it cost me a lifetimes worth of work in less than 24hrs, it’s REALLY easy to be positive now after getting it all back”

While Johnson rarely speaks on the incident, Evelyn Lozada opened up about it on OWN’s “Iyanla: Fix My Life” in September 2012. She told Iyanla Vanzant that there were several red flags that she ignored before she gave her side of what happened.
“It was on the weekend and he had started training camp. I went to the grocery store with his daughter and I was taking the bags out of the car. He left something in there and I saw the receipt and I saw that he purchased a box of condoms. I remember looking at the date and it was three weeks after my wedding date.”
She said she reached out to Johnson and when he arrived she got in his car and told him that she was leaving him.
“He kept saying it wasn’t his and he bought them for somebody else. You know, the BS. He grabbed my ears and that’s when he headbutted me. I started bleeding and I was a little in shock. All I kept telling him was ‘Your daughter is in the house.'”
She said Johnson then went into their home.
He was later arrested and pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery.
Their history also became a topic of conversation on the most recent season of “Basketball Wives.” Evelyn Lozada called co-star O.G. “ugly,” and O.G. told her that Johnson tried to talk to her.
