Missy Elliott Won’t Be Participating In Instagram Live Battle, Says: I Don’t Have Enough Hits To Battle!
The coronavirus has forced musicians to go about satisfying their audiences in creative ways – one being battles between singers/songwriters/and producers, forcing fans to choose between their hit songs. The most recent was a spirited R&B stand-off between songwriters Ne-Yo and Johnta Austin.

But hitmaker Missy Elliott says she won’t be participating in any battles anytime soon. When podcaster Francheska Ramsey asked the public who’d be a suitable opponent for Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliot, she shockingly replied:
“nah i like watching the battles but I don’t got enough hits to battle I rather be a judge”

This is a staggeringly humble response, considering her long roster of culture-crowning hits includes singles “Get Your Freak On;” “The Rain;” Aaliyah‘s “One In A Million;” Monica‘s “So Gone;” and countless others.
But when paired against Pharrell Williams of The Neptunes and Kandi Burruss, she still insisted that a battle would be out of the question.

Fans even suggested Missy battle her own rap persona against her R&B records.

Should Missy Elliot battle another hitmaker for the culture, or stick to her guns? Let us know what you think in the comments.
