Rapper Jeezy & Jeannie Mai Break Silence On Their Engagement [Photos]

Update #2 (Friday, April 10): Jeezy and Jeannie Mai have made their engagement on social media public!

The future newlyweds hopped on Instagram to speak on the news. Jeezy wrote,

“Would say 4 life but that’s not long enough [heart Emoji] Infinity…”

Jeannie Mai shared a snapshot of the two all smiles on the beach and added the caption,

“I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life loving you….YES[ring emoji]

Thank you, everyone, for celebrating this journey with us. We are praying love over everyone from here.”

“The Real” co-host has shown special moments of Jeezy bonding with her mom, Mama Mai, while much of the country is on lockdown.

But things have gotten serious between the couple in the quarantine house, because now they’re engaged!

A rep for Jeannie Mai said the plan was for Jeezy to propose overseas, but had to take another route thanks to flight restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The rep told PEOPLE, 

“Jeannie and Jay were set for a trip to Vietnam this April. What Jeannie didn’t know is that Jay was planning to propose. Instead, Jay decided to bring Vietnam to Jeannie with a surprise quarantine date night in his home filled with Vietnamese food and decor.”

They started dating in November 2018 and confirmed their relationship in August. Jeannie Mai also explained their first date on “The Real” season six premiere in September.

The proposal comes more than two years after Jeannie Mai and her ex-husband Freddy Harteis split.
