Lizzo has become a leader in body positivity and female sexual empowerment. The confident singer, who attended the University of Houston, where she was in the marching band and studied classical flute performance is also celebrating her 32nd birthday today. Lizzo, real name Melissa Jefferson, revealed what would be the best gift on Instagram.
“It’s my birthday, the best gift would be… say something nice about yourself in my comments and shake that a** h*.”

Along with fans, several celebrities had birthday wishes for Lizzo.

Although she was born in Detroit, Lizzo moved to Houston at the age of ten. The singer, dancer and Grammy Award-winning rapper led a meditation session last month after the cancellation of a highly anticipated performance in Houston.

SZA joined Lizzo last week on Instagram live to give fans a live session. The“Good As Hell” singer thanked SZA for “letting me raise the frequency with you.” and continued,
“Some people didn’t understand, but they gon feel it. In case you missed it, here’s something to meditate to— open yo chakras and yo mouth and sing with us!!! I promise you’ll feel better.”
