Beyonce & Megan Thee Stallion Are Getting Their Own Day In Houston
Congrats are in order for Beyonce and rapper Megan thee Stallion, as they are both going to receive their own respective days in Houston, Texas. The announcement was made by the mayor of Houston on his twitter page. Mayor Sylvester Turner wrote,
“#Htown’s @Beyonce &@theestallion dropped a new remix that is just #Savage. Because of both artists contributions to uplifting our communities, holding down #HTown, & for helping us remain #HoustonStrong our city will present both artists with their own respective days.”
He also commended the notion that proceeds from the remix will go to charity.
It’s great to see proceeds from the single’s purchase will support Bread of Life. Let’s purchase & support this organization’s efforts. I look forward to connecting with both artists teams to find the appropriate time to make these requests a reality. I appreciate my daughter, Ashley Turner, for encouraging and informing me about about the launch of the single and how the proceeds would benefit one of our local organizations who does great work. Her points were very persuasive.#BeyGood #TheeStallion #Savage”

Beyonce has yet to respond to the latest news but Megan thee Stallion seems very excited about the announcement. She retweeted Mayor Turner’s tweet saying,
“Houston Hotties we getting a day”

It was previously reported that Beyonce hopped on Megan thee Stallion’s track “Savage”. The two Houston natives linked up and all proceeds from the track will benefit Bread of Life Houston’s COVID-19 relief efforts in their hometown.
