‘Power’ Actor Rotimi Sweetly Surprises Girlfriend Vanessa Mdee for Her 32nd Birthday

Quarantine birthdays have become the new norm as we are all social distancing.

Actor/singer Rotimi, 31, most known for his role as “Dre” on the Starz hit “Power,” is one of many celebrities who made his girlfriend Vanessa Mdee’s quarantine birthday extra special. The pair went public last November when Rotimi posted a picture of him and Vanessa Mdee on his Instagram with the simple yet effective caption “H E R.”

She confirmed their status with the same photo, revealing they were having a date night together.

The two effortlessly swoon over each other routinely on their Instagram accounts with posts of their significant other.

With the love displayed between the two, it’s no surprise Rotimi upped the romance as he celebrated his girlfriend’s 32nd birthday at home. In an Instagram video he posted, he surprises her with a cake, roses, balloons. As the Tanzanian singer comes down the stairs towards him and her gifts, Rotimi starts to sing an impromptu birthday song using his “Mr. Buttascotch” persona. He accompanied the video with the caption:

Corona can’t stop my baby from enjoying her birthday. Love you Queen. Had to figure something out. But she deserves the world, Best year of my life.

Vanessa shared the same video on her Instagram page with the caption:

He also commented:
