We previously reported that Deion Sanders left the NFL Network after working with the channel since 2006. NFL’s head of communications Alex Riethmiller said,
“Deion has been one of the key figures responsible for the growth of NFL Network. We thank him for his work and wish him the best in the future.”
According to reports, he allegedly left thanks to a pay disagreement. The network reportedly requested that Deion Sanders take a pay cut at the end of his contract. He was said to have agreed to a new contract before ultimately leaving the network.
He was also reportedly named as one of the potential hires for the head coaching position at his alma mater, Florida State University late last year.
