Talib Kweli’s Wife, DJ Eque, Files For Divorce After More Than 10 Years
Talib Kweli’s wife Cynthia Greene (a.k.a. DJ Eque), has filed for divorce.
She reportedly filed the document in Los Angeles Superior Court Friday, Feb. 19th.
She said in court documents that they don’t share any minor children. It’s not clear if she will petition for monthly support or if they had a prenup in place.
They first married at a Bel-Air mansion in May 2009.The reason for her filing isn’t publicly known.
Talib Kweli was banned from Twitter in August 2020 after a controversial encounter with a woman about colorism after she said he was one of the many rappers who married a light-skinned woman. See that interaction here.
