Fredo Bang & Lit Yoshi, Rappers W/ Top Boy Gorilla, Arrested In Miami Over Separate Fugitive Charges In Louisiana
Fredo Bang and Lit Yoshi have been arrested just one day apart from each other.
Over the past two days (Wednesday, July 21st and Thursday, July 22nd), Lit Yoshi and Fredo Bang were both arrested at their shared home in Miami. Both rappers are associated with Top Boy Gorilla–a rap group based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Lit Yoshi (real name Mieyoshi Edwards) and Fredo Bang (real name Frederick Givens) were arrested on separate fugitive charges that occurred in their home state of Louisiana. Lit Yoshi was apprehended for attempted murder charges in St. Tammany Parish–just north of New Orleans. In response to his Wednesday (July 21st) arrest, attorney Ron Haley told PEOPLE:
“There was not a warrant for [Lit Yoshi’s] arrest at that time. This is not new criminal behavior for him. He has an ankle monitor. There’s no confusion of where he is at. I’ve been in communication with the prosecutors. I’ve been in communication with the police, throughout this whole process. What happened in Miami was ridiculous. Now, is it legal? Yes, legal but not necessary.”
As for Fredo Bang, Ron Haley said the “Air It Out” rapper was arrested on Thursday (July 22nd) for a 2016 parole violation after police allegedly found guns and a stolen car in his possession. He was originally placed on parole after allegedly shooting a man during a 2016 altercation.
Fredo Bang‘s arrest comes just one day before he was scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud in Miami.
