Manny Pacquiao’s Trainer Wants Rematch Against Floyd Mayweather ‘One More Time’
Six years after their highly-anticipated match, Manny Pacquiao‘s camp is still hoping for a rematch against Floyd Mayweather!
According to various reports, 42-year-old Manny Pacquiao is itching for a rematch against 44-year-old Floyd Mayweather. As you may recall, the pair squared off in the ring back in 2015, resulting in Floyd Mayweather‘s victory. Notably, the fight was one of the highest-grossing Pay-Per-View events in history.

Mayweather retired a few months later, though he still fought Conor McGregor in 2017. Manny Pacquiao, however, is still an active boxer. Despite Mayweather‘s retirement, Manny Pacquiao‘s trainer–Freddie Roach–says he hopes the pair can eventually have a rematch. Freddie Roach stated:
“We would like to fight Mayweather one more time.”
The trainer then added:
“But exhibitions? No. Manny is not into that. Manny has boxing fans. That’s what we’re after.”
For context, Floyd Mayweather exclusively does exhibition matches following his retirement, such as his fight against Logan Paul.

The main difference is that exhibition matches do not count toward boxers’ official records.
Floyd Mayweather and his camp have not yet commented on a potential rematch, so it’s unclear what the future may hold!
