Michael Jackson’s Son Shuts Down Drake Comparisons: What My Father Accomplished Is Very Unlikely To Ever Be Matched
Michael Jackson‘s son has broken his silence and acknowledged the comparisons between the late pop star and Drake.
As previously reported, Drake was recently at the center of a debate regarding whether he was a bigger artist than Michael Jackson and The Beatles during their respective heydays. It appears as though the conversation was sparked by the immense success of Certified Lover Boy, with the album recently topping the Billboard Hot 100 and having nine songs in the top ten.

While many music fans have expressed their opinions on the matter, Michael Jackson‘s own son recently spoke on the subject. Earlier this week, the paparazzi caught up with the “Billie Jean” singer’s oldest child–Prince Jackson (born Michael Joseph Jackson Jr.)–and asked for his opinion on whether he thought Drake was on Michael Jackson‘s level as an artist. Specifically, Prince Jackson was asked:
“Drake just broke one of your dad’s records, and fans are saying they think he might be as big as your dad was in his heyday. You think that’s true?”
In response, Prince Jackson said:
“Everybody has their own definition of great, and all respect to Drake for everything that he does, but what my father and my family accomplished in the time that they did it is very unlikely to ever be matched again.”
