Kanye West Granted Permission To Change His Name To ‘Ye’
Kanye West has a new name!
A judge officially gave the rapper, born Kanye Omari West, the green light to change his name to Ye, according to reports.
He will no longer have a middle name or last name. He first filed legal documents for the change in August.
Meanwhile, his estranged wife Kim Kardashian West reportedly wants to keep the last name West despite their pending divorce.
An insider said earlier this year that she wants to remain a West to have the same last name as her and Ye’s four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

Meanwhile, he’s been busy filing legal documents to put the name Ye on several products like face masks, computers, sports bags, home goods, and a dating website. He reportedly has plans to use his name to launch a legal aid foundation for low-income families.
He’s also leaving a legacy for his late mother, Donda West, who sadly passed away in 2007 as he filed a trademark application to put her name on a series of tech products.
