A full clip of his podcast has been released, showing that his words were taken out of context.

Ahead of the portion that went viral, Joe Budden and his podcast hosts were discussing the latest reports surrounding DaBaby and the homophobic remarks he made earlier this summer. As previously reported, an LGBTQ organization, Relationship Unleashed, appeared to forgive the rapper and give him the green light to perform again after he sat down with dozens of LGBTQ groups who educated him on his problematic comments. (Relationship Unleashed later clarified and said its statements were “grossly misquoted.”)

On The Joe Budden Podcast, co-host Ish asked,

“We gotta get okayed by the gays to perform?”

Joe Budden sarcastically reacts,

“How do I spread this news? How do I spread the word? Listen, I like guys and girls. Spread the word. I’m down. I’ve seen enough.”

Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Kaylin Garcia responded. She wrote on Instagram,

“I knew it, happy for him.”

Another former girlfriend Tahiry Jose shared her thoughts on social media.

She reiterated her previous claims of abuse against Joe Budden and wrote,

“Joey May be a women beater but far from Bi… and Vado better stop calling , DM’ing me and popping up to my old crib. I’m jus sayin”

“Na, i would’ve known! We did things. & ’m submissive…. ONLY IN BED! So that’s a hard pass. No point intended. Lol”

She added,

“I’ve put the past behind me….THANK YOU THERAPY…. Phone please stop ringing!!!! He’s a calculated person, a smart person, so smart , it’s hurts him a lot of the times! stay tuned!”

It’s nothing new for former rapper turned podcast host Joe Budden, 41, to find himself trending for his comments/actions. During the latest episode of his podcast, The Joe Budden Podcast, the ‘Pump It Up’ rapper shocked listeners by claiming to be bisexual. While chatting with his co-hosts he said,

“I’m bisexual.”

He continued,

“How do I spread this news…How do I spread the word?”

He added,

“Listen, I… Like guys and girls. Spread the word. I’m down.”

It’s unclear if Joe Budden was being serious with his remarks. However, he did take to Twitter and encouraged fans to ‘continue to spread the word.’ He tweeted,

“Ahhhhhhh, I see the word got out!! Continue to spread the word pls”
