Letitia Wright–Conflicting Rumors Surround Star’s Return To The ‘Black Panther 2’ Set + Fans Suggest Re-casting Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa Character Amid The Speculation
What does the future hold for the Black Panther sequel?
As previously reported, filming for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was put on hold last month due to Letitia Wright‘s ongoing recovery from an on-set injury. As the 28-year-old English actress recovers, rumors have been circulating regarding whether or not she would be allowed back into the country to finish filming on account of her unvaxxed status.
Specifically, early last month, the CDC mandated that all non-immigrants and non-U.S. Citizens flying to America had to show proof that they were vaccinated for COVID. As Letitia Wright has been very vocal about not wanting to get the vaccine, this ultimately sparked gossip that filming would have to go on without her.

However, despite this speculation, news recently broke that Letitia Wright would allegedly return to the Black Panther set in late January. However, it should be noted that this was stated by a third-party source and not a Marvel representative.
Amid these conflicting rumors, there has been speculation about what Black Panther: Wakanda Forever directors could do just in case Letitia Wright–who plays a major role in the film–doesn’t return. One popular suggestion has been to re-cast Chadwick Boseman‘s T’Challa character in the film. #RecastTChalla even began trending on Twitter, and you can see some users’ thoughts on the matter down below:

The matter has been a controversial subject so far, and it doesn’t look like there are any official plans to re-cast T’Challa at the moment.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is currently slated to premiere on Nov. 11th, 2022.
