Machine Gun Kelly Receives Backlash Over Sexual Comment About Black Women In A Resurfaced Video
Machine Gun Kelly is facing major criticism over a resurfaced video clip where he made offensive sexual comments about black women. On Monday (Mar.21), former Crystal Castles singer Alice Glass took to Twitter and shared the video clip where Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) made the controversial remarks. The “Bloody Valentine” singer was being interviewed on the red carpet at the 2012 BET Awards where he said,
“Black girls give the best head.”
At the time, he continued:
“Y’all either give the best head or you say you don’t give head.. White girls they just give head.”
He continued,
“Most of y’all say, ‘I don’t do that, unless you’re my man.’ Whereas you just need to show your skills, because Black girls give the best head 100 percent.”
In the video clip, we also see MGK calling another woman a b**h after she walks away, seemingly offended by his comments.
“B***h walk the f**k away then, you f*****g dirty pig b**h…Weak-a** dress with a fake-a** Louis Vuitton purse. I’ll go in on this b****h.”
I’m sorry I have to give a trigger warning for this one. this video of mgk is disturbing pic.twitter.com/LZznmumzG8

After sharing the clip, Alice Glass wrote,
”Why as a white man, would you ever talk like this? fetishizing black women and in such a disrespectful way!? show respect for Black Women who’s culture you are appropriating…Apologize for this @machinegunkelly this was beyond disgusting.”
She added,
”But all this isn’t just about one artist. there is a bigger picture here. this is about how men who act like this are still given power and opportunities in an industry that willfully perpetuates sexist, racist and abusive behavior. it needs to change.”
