Jack Harlow Credits Black Women For Being ‘Such A Massive Part’ Of His Career
Jack Harlow is giving a big shout-out to black women!
During a recent interview, the “First Class” rapper spoke about what the support of Black women means to him, and the impact they have had on his music, noting they’re “such a massive part” of his career. Jack Harlow, 24, explained,
“They’ll never have to worry about not being credited by me. I mean, I look out at my shows and I see them. It’s one thing when you see the memes and you hear people talking about it, but it’s another when you travel the country and you see them all over the place. I love Black women. I’ve loved Black women my whole life.”

Jack Harlow also touched on what it was like to see mixed reviews for his latest album, ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You’ noting that the criticism is “good for my growth.” He explained,
“I’ve been so validated by the world over the last year and just put on a pedestal and loved. To experience a taste of the opposite, I think it’s good for my growth. It teaches you not to put too much stock in either because the world is finicky.”
Jack continued,
“But I’m proud to say my confidence and my thoughts on my trajectory haven’t been shaken. A lot of it has been a big surprise to me, after I caught wind of some of it. I’ve been able to do a good job of stepping away.”
Regardless of the criticism, Jack Harlow thinks he’s only getting better with time. He said,
“Some of my earlier stuff, since I wasn’t in the position that I’m in [now], it was easier to be like, ‘Yeah, slide him his props.’ But once you’re up there, it’s a saltier feeling in your mouth. It’s seasonal, I’m telling you. It’s fashion.”

Jack Harlow recently made headlines after admitting he didn’t know Brandy and Ray J were siblings during an interview on Hot97’s “Ebro In The Morning”. At one point during the now-viral moment, the hosts of the morning show tried to give Jack Harlow hints about who Brandy’s brother is by joking about him having a popular sex tape with Kim Kardashian.
However, Harlow still didn’t get the correlation and replied:
“Who’s Ray J’s sister?”
In shock, the hosts informed Harlow about the celebrity siblings. Harlow responded:
“Nobody’s ever told me that in my life”
Ray J, Brandy
Initially, the veteran singer took to Twitter to respond to JackHarlow’s unawareness. Brandy tweeted,
“I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing his *ss to sleep”
However, it appears that wasn’t enough for the “Moesha” actress. Brandy later dropped a freestyle coming for Harlow a little harder. On May 25, Brandy shared a song seemingly taking a few shots at Jack Harlow over his own “Firstclass” beat. In the song, she raps,
“Painted pictures, Cinderella scriptures, but that don’t mean Jack in the streets, Jack of all trades, now I’m here jacking for beats, ‘Queens’ canceled but you can never cancel the queen.”
