Cardi B Says New Single “Hot Sh*t” Featuring Lil Durk and Kanye West Will Not Have A Music Video: I’m Just Not In The Mood For A Lot Of Things

Cardi B is getting the streets ready for her upcoming release!

On Sunday (June 26) rapper Cardi B, 29, took it to Twitter to announce to her fans that her new single “Hot Sh*t” will be on all streaming platforms on Friday (July 1). Cardi B left fans curious as she ended her tweet implying she had another surprise coming up.

On Monday (June 27) the Bronx-native rapper tweeted she had an announcement coming later that evening.

On Instagram and Twitter, Cardi continued the promotion of her new single by releasing the cover art of “Hot Sh*t” displaying features from rappers Lil Durk and Kanye West giving fans the excitement they needed.

After gifting social media with good news, the 29-year-old Grammy-award winner took it to Twitter to reveal she had bad news that she’ll be announcing on Instagram live.

Cardi  got some things off her chest to “Bardi Gang” on Instagram live. The 29-year-old admits:

“I wanted to cancel my release for this week because sh*t is not being executed how it’s supposed to. I haven’t dropped a single for like, what? Almost a year and like three months, I feel like my last single was like last February, so you do the math. You already know what the f*ck is that. I’m not good at math, so ya’ll do the m*th*rf*ck*ng math.”

Cardi says:

“I will be dropping this song and I will be dropping the cover art at 8:00 and all that b*llsh*t, but I will not be releasing a music video with this song. I just don’t feel like doing the, you know how I usually do the most with the promo? I just don’t feel like doing too much this time around because I’m just exhausted with everybody. I’m so tired of people not doing their f*ck*ng job correctly. I’m so tired of people just doing things their way.”

Cardi continues:

“I’m just over it. You know what I’m saying? I’m over it. I’m gonna put this record, if it do good it do good. I think it’s gonna do good because at the end of the day the record is amazing. I love the record. It’s something that I feel like ya’ll havent heard from me before. I feel like people is expecting a lot of sl*tn*ss and blah blah blah. Ya’ll keep talking I keep making TikTok records and this and that, this is definitely not that.”

Cardi adds:

“It’s a fun, it’s a great record. It’s masculine. It’s great for the clubs. It’s great for the b*tch*es. I will be dropping it unfortunately, I won’t be dropping it with the video. I’m just not in the mood for a lot of things, but I do wanna say thank you so much Bardi Gang for making- just thank you Bardi gang okay? Because y’all been doing a lot and I seen everything that you guys were doing yesterday and today and I’m thankful and I’m grateful.”

Cardi says:

“That’s the only reason why I’m like ‘you know what? I’m not even gonna go out like that.’ I know that I’m pissed off. When I’m pissed off, I don’t know if y’all know libras, when we pissed off we just be like ‘f*ck everything’ and we just be like ‘f*ck everybody.’”

Cardi hasn’t shared new music since last year’s chart-topping tracks “WAP” collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, and “Up.”
