Megan Thee Stallion Recalls Reading For The Role Of Mercedes Before ‘Tina Snow’ Appearance On ‘P-Valley’
Before securing a cameo on Starz’s “P-Valley” as rapper Tina Snow, Megan Thee Stallion had originally auditioned for the lead role of Mercedes Woodbine.
During a recent interview with Apple Music’s Nadeska and Ebro Darden, rap artist Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she had read for the role of Mercedes, which eventually went to actress Brandee Evans. The 27-year-old Houston rapper recalled,
“I read for Mercedes. Yeah, they had asked me to read for the part. So I was like, ‘OK, cool.’ I know I ain’t get the part because my girl Brandee tearing it up. I’m like, ‘Oh, sh*t,’ I feel like I look like a little kid in my little audition tape.”
Megan Thee Stallion shared,
“When I was, I feel like I had to be like 23, 24 — I read for Mercedes. And you know, my girl, Katori, she seen it in me. She was like, ‘No, that girl, we like her. She going to be something.’”

The Houston native continued, expressing her excitement for “P-Valley” creator, Katori Hall, wanting to have her on the series. Megan added,
“For her to come back and be like, ‘OK, Meg, what we going to do? Bring Tina Snow to [The Pynk].’ And I was like, ‘Good.’”

As previously reported, the Houston hottie recently made a special appearance on Starz’s hit series “P-Valley.” In episode nine of the second season, Megan appeared as her musical alter-ego Tina Snow, the title of her second EP.

Megan’s guest-starring role acts as a rapper who collaborates with Lil’ Murda (J. Alphonse Nicholson) on a song before inviting him to go on tour with her. She first appeared off-screen in episode two, when her voice was heard. Their song eventually debuted on the radio in episode six with Megan making her on-screen debut in episode nine, titled “Snow.”
