T.I. Weighs In On His Son’s Recent Arrest: If He Keeps This Up His A** Is Going To Prison, Ain’t Nothing I’ma Be Able To Do

T.I. is addressing his son’s, King Harris, recent arrest, and it looks like the Atlanta rapper isn’t too fond of his child’s behavior.

On Friday (Sept. 2) T.I. took to social media to address King Harris’ short time behind bars after getting backlash from fans for not correcting his son’s behavior. T.I. informed fans that he has indeed spoken to his son numerous times about his actions and the consequences that can follow.

In his 3-minute video, the ‘Bring Em Out’ rapper begins by addressing fans who said he needs to be a better parent and check his son’s antics. T.I. said,

“Minor request….Stop hitting me, getting in my comments, telling me what to tell King. I know my son. Think I ain’t spoke to my son? Think I aint tell my son–his momma and his grandmothers–his a** going to prison. If he keeps this sh*t up he’s going to prison. Ain’t no way around it, ain’t nothing I’m gonna be able to do about it. Nobody can stop it but him.”

He continued,

“I’ve already had the conversation. I’ve already made my peace with it, because I know that energy. I was that energy. I know exactly how it’s gonna turn out.. King’s a good kid, chasing after the wrong sh*t. I trust in God to deal with it how he sees fit. It ain’t really sh*t else I can do. “

T.I. goes on to say he and his wife Tiny Harris have done everything they can do possible to try and raise him to be a good man. But there are certain lessons King will have to learn the hard way.

“He got all the whippins, he done got the punishment. We done did everything as a child that we could do to him. He’s gonna have to go through it and get through it. There’s nothing me him momma nobody else gonna be able to say about it…I’m gonna love him all the way through whatever it is he’s going through. Life will teach him all the lessons he needs to know. That’s the best we can do.

On Wednesday (Aug. 31) King Harris was arrested in Atlanta, GA. While it’s unclear what led to his arrest, the 18-year-old made it clear that he isn’t fond of the police. Harris posted a series of videos on his Instagram Stories sharing his reaction to the arrest and those criticizing him for it.

In one video, King can be seen sitting in a car with a female friend after being released from custody as they go over the violations they received. King said he was slapped with four violations, while his friend was given one for not wearing a seatbelt.

In another video, King continued to speak about his arrest while taking a bubble bath. He sarcastically agreed with those saying he shouldn’t be getting arrested. He wrote,

“Y’all right,We too rich fa da sh*t! I agree.”

He then said,

“I’m sorry that a muthaf**ka caught me while I was on my way to vacation. I’m sorry, I thought I was doing what a young n-gga was supposed to do. I ain’t wanna be in there.”

King then addressed those who claim he’s trying to be a gangsta, saying he never intended to get arrested.

“Everybody that’s saying n*gga tryna be gangsta. I ain’t ask for the police to pull me over, y’all b*ch a** n*ggas.”
