Jamie Foxx Says Everybody Doesn’t Need A Podcast
Jamie Foxx appears to have a message for those who stream podcast shows for their entertainment.
On Tuesday (September 27), actor and singer Jamie Foxx, 54, took to his official Instagram account to seemingly drop off a public service announcement surrounding today’s communication space. According to reports, podcasts are an extremely popular form of audio entertainment today and have progressed beyond being downloadable radio shows.

Reportedly, podcasts are an accessible way for content creators to connect with an audience unlike traditional methods of content production like TV and radio shows. It’s also not required to have a broadcasting license to publish podcast content. Anyone with basic podcast equipment like a microphone and recording software can create their own show.
A podcast series usually features one or more recurring hosts engaged in a discussion about a particular topic or current event. Discussion and content within a podcast can range from carefully scripted to completely improvised. According to Jamie Foxx, not everyone is worthy of opening up your ears to listen to in the podcasting industry. The comedian posted a photo that read,
“Just cause they got a podcast… don’t make them a philosopher.”
Foxx captioned the post,
“Errrrrbody don’t need a mic!”

The Grammy award-winning actor also took to his IG stories to let off another word of advice. Foxx wrote,
“Just cause they gotta loud fcking
mouth… don’t make them the voice
of the people…”
