Thanks to 21 Savage, Atlanta HBCU college students got a homecoming performance they’ll never forget!
It seems like no one does homecoming like Morehouse and Spelman College. Last night (Oct. 19) the two famed HBCUs gave their students a homecoming concert filled with notable musical guests. According to reports, the lineup featured sets from many hitmakers, including; Trinidad James, Lil Yachty, Rubi Rose, Rae Sremmurd, and 21 Savage.

During 21 Savage’s performance at the Forbes Arena, he went the extra mile to make sure his time on stage stood out from his fellow rap peers. The “Cash In Cash Out” rapper surprised the venue by bringing out Canadian native Drake. Video footage shared online shows that the arena erupted into cheers as Drake walked on stage rocking an all-black fit. The rap friends kicked off their joint performance by performing “Knife Talk,” which is featured on Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album. Drake then performed “Nonstop” for the packed arena.

Some reports claim that this performance marks Drake’s first time performing in Atlanta since 2018. While on stage he took a moment to talk about his unplanned pop-up and said,
“By the way, I didn’t get invited to this show. Nobody from Morehouse asked me to perform. My brother brought me here, so make some noise.”

According to reports, Drake and 21 Savage’s recent “Jimmy Cooks” collab debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. At the time, this marked the 11th No. 1 Hot 100 entry for Drake, as well as the second for 21 Savage.
