Spice Girls’ Mel B Is Engaged!

Looks like international super star Mel B is officially off the dating market.

The Spice Girls member reportedly shared details of her surprise engagement to celebrity hairstylist Rory McPhee, 36, during a recent interview. Reportedly Mel B, born Melanie Janine Brown, 47, has been dating her new fiancée, who doubles as her personal hair stylist, since 2020.

After an interviewer asked the famed singer to dish on how McPhee popped the question, Mel stated:

 “He said, ‘I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you,'”

Reportedly, the two were on vacation in Berkshire when the proposal happened. The former “America’s Got Talent” host continued, gushing over the romantic details of the event. She stated:

“There were rose petals everywhere, a log fire, a hotel — which was Cliveden. It was very romantic. I love flowers.”

Mel’s recent engagement will mark the third marriage for the musician once she and her partner exchange I-do’s. The “Wannabe” singer was previously married to Jimmy Gulzar – who she shares 23-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi with – from 1998 to 2000. Subsequently, Mel married Stephen Belafonte – who she shares a 10-year-old daughter Madison with – from 2007 to 2017. The award winning artist has been vocal about the abuse and trauma she endured during her second marriage to Belafonte.

Mel also previously dated famed actor Eddie Murphy. The celebrity pair never married, but do share a 15-year-old daughter, Angel Iris. Murphy was recently ordered to pay up $35k a month in child support for being an “extraordinarily high earner”, $10k more than his previous payments.
