Baby Blue Of Pretty Ricky Released From Prison Following $24 Million PPP Loan Fraud Conviction

Pretty Ricky fans are welcoming one of the band members home!

Baby Blue of the R&B group, real name Diamond Blue Smith, 38, was greeted with warm regards recently as he was released from jail. If you recall, last year the musician turned himself in following his conviction on federal fraud charges.

In a video posted by his bandmates Spectacular and Pleasure P, Blue is seen walking out of FCI Coleman Low in Florida earlier today (Tuesday, February 7th). The date is exactly 1 year after he surrendered to authorities due to his involvement in a coronavirus relief fund scandal worth $24 million.

According to reports, the rapper was leased early from the original 20-month sentence under the First Step Act. Reportedly, the law was introduced by former President Donald Trump and allows “eligible inmates to participate in recidivism reduction programs and earn credits toward early release.”

After his release, reports note that Blue seemingly maintained high energy, and briefly discussed the experience. Reportedly, he stated:

“I met a lot of REAL ni**as in the feds. A lot of good street ni**as doing time in this fu**ed up system just for hustling and getting money to support they families…I appreciate all the love and support for my family, friends, and fans!”

Additionally, the reports claim that the musician shared he’s changing his name to Bigg Money Blue and is working on a new music project and a book. Reportedly, he stated:

“I’m bout to get back to the MONEY! LETS GO!!!”

While Blue has not yet spoken from his social media accounts, he has indeed changed his bio name to Bigg Money Blue. Following his release, however, fans were sure to take to his social media comments section and welcome the musician home.
