T.J. Holmes Reportedly Buys Promise Ring For Amy Robach To Show ‘How Committed They Are To Each Other,’ Insider Claims

T.J. Holmes is seemingly ready to prove his romance with Amy Robach is real.

According to reports, T.J. Holmes was recently spotted purchasing a gold promise ring with a chain to hang it on. Allegedly, he gifted the shiny accessory to Amy Robach for her 50th birthday. Photographers reportedly captured T.J. Holmes at David Yurman’s downtown Manhattan store where he walked away with an 18-karat gold Unity Cable ring that costs $650 and is a part of the bridal/wedding collection.

The 45-year-old then went over to Tiffany & Co. where he purchased a gold chain and was spotted looping the ring onto it to see how it looked. Reportedly, a friend of the couple spoke about the promise ring and said:

“T.J. and Amy are more in love than ever.”

Amy Robach’s big 50th celebration comes just days after the couple sealed their exit deal with ABC following weeks of negotiations. As previously reported, the former co-anchors lost their jobs with “Good Morning America 3” due to their alleged affair. Following a mediation session on Jan.26, both parties received payouts per their contracts.

According to sources, the mediation was “extremely contentious,” with the network’s reps accusing both Amy Robach and Holmes of various forms of misconduct throughout their time with the network.

An insider close to the couple said they are under a lot of pressure now that they’re out of their jobs and have pending divorces:

‘It’s kind of proof of how committed they are to each other that they’ve weathered this sh*tstorm after their secret love affair was exposed, they were suspended from GMA3 and then waited for agonizing weeks as ABC kept them in limbo about their future.”

They added: 

“But don’t forget that T.J. and Amy were friends long before they were lovers. Their relationship began with an awfully strong bond that – to this point – has only become, well, more.”

Holmes and Amy Robach began anchoring “GMA3” together almost three years ago and allegedly started their affair in the summer of 2022. However, both anchors have reportedly claimed they were separated from their spouses before they started dating. As previously reported, on Dec. 28 Holmes filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig, after 12 years of marriage. The filing came two days after he was captured in an airport with Robach. The ex-couple share a daughter, Sabine, 10, together.

Sources alleged Robach’s divorce from her husband, Andrew Shue, is in the works even though neither has filed paperwork as of yet.
