Former Atlanta Falcons Player Eric Johnson & Gang Members Accused of Assaulting, Kidnapping & Trafficking Women
Eric Johnson is tied up to unfortunate legal troubles.
Reportedly, the former Atlanta Falcons player has been named in a racketeering and terrorism scheme that authorities alleged assaulted and kidnapped women. Eric Johnson, who played in the NFL for six seasons, is among five men and two men being accused in a 96-count Gwinnett County Grand Jury indictment with conspiracy, trafficking women for sexual servitude, terrorism, kidnapping, aggravated assault, gang activity and racketeering.
The Attorney General’s Office describes Eric Johnson to be one of the three leaders of the reported “Lotto” gang, mandating violent crimes with the other defendants. In the indictment — obtained by Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr as part of his special Gang and Human Trafficking Prosecution Units — Johnson is accused of trafficking a teen minor for sex.
This is Chris Carr and Georgia Brian Kemp’s latest indictment in the anti-human trafficking and anti-gang war, aimed at preventing gangs from recruiting and exploiting children, while saving kidnapped children forced into human trafficking. They have reached 15 indictments targeting 58 defendants across the state since July 2022.
Johnson played four seasons with the Oakland Raiders in the beginning of his NFL career in 2000. In Super Bowl 2003, Johnson played defense and recovered a blocked punt, running for a touchdown. He later played with the Atlanta Falcons for one season and one more season with the Arizona Cardinals.
