John Boyega Reveals He’s Been Unable To Contact Jamie Foxx Since His Medical Emergency: ‘I’m Just Gonna Keep On Calling’

Associates of famed actor Jamie Foxx continue to show him support following his recent health scare.

The 55-year-old’s co-star John Boyega spoke about him recently, sharing that he hasn’t spoken to Jamie Foxx since he fell ill.

As we previously reported, John Boyega, 31 and fellow co-star Teyonah Parris, 35, sung Jamie Foxx’s praises as he missed the premiere of their new Netflix film “They Cloned Tyrone”. While the actors expressed their disappointment that Foxx was unable to attend, Boyega seemed to take his concern a step further. The “Star Wars” actor revealed that despite his numerous attempts to contact Foxx, he has been unable to reach him and hasn’t had his calls return.

Reportedly, Boyega stated:

“I’ve been calling, I’m just gonna keep on calling,”

Adding:

“He better pick up. Come on, Jamie!”

As we’ve been covering, Foxx has been mostly MIA from the public after being rushed to the hospital back in April. While the nature of the entertainer’s condition has not been released, his daughter Corrine has been offering updates to fans concerned for the actor. Shortly after the hospitalization, Corrine stated her father “experienced a medical complication”, and was quick to combat stories that reported the family was “preparing for the worse”. In May, the family gave an update on the Oscar award winner’s situation, stating:

“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,”

Earlier this month, rumors began to surface that Foxx‘s medical scare was actually the result of complications from the Covid-19 vaccine. His rep later disputed these claims as well. At this time, Foxx has not been spotted out, and has only made one social media post, thanking fans, family, and loved ones for their support as he continues to recover.
