Drake & Popular Podcaster Bobbi Althoff Rumored To Have Had Romantic Fling Following Now-Deleted Viral Interview, Influencer Denies Hookup & Says She Didn’t Want To Do The Episode ‘In The First Place’

Rapper Drake and rising socialite Bobbi Althoff’s “friendship” was (seemingly) short-lived.

Well, at least, that’s what the entire internet thinks! Drake and Bobbi Althoff are no longer following each other online, and fans want to know why.

If you didn’t know, Drake visited Bobbi Althoff’s ‘The Really Good Podcast’ last month, and the episode immediately became the talk of the timeline(s).

Amid the conversation, a laid-back Drake can be seen having an awkward, comedic exchange with Althoff, as the two are cozily chilling in bed together.

When asked how the light-hearted linkup came about, influencer-turned-podcaster Althoff told an outlet that the pair connected after Drake liked a video of her chatting with fellow deadpan interviewer Funny Marco. The rapper then followed her on Instagram.

The 26-year-old said,

“I decided to just go for it and shoot my shot. I DMed Drake and asked if he wanted to be on my podcast, and he said yes. He sent me his touring schedule, and I knew that I needed to make it happen fast. So, my friend and I flew to Memphis two days after the original DM was sent to record the episode.”

Although known for her mom-life content, Althoff recently garnered attention by landing one-on-one podcast interviews with some of today’s most notable rap artists in the game, such as Lil Yachty, Offset, and Tyga.

However, Drake’s appearance with Althoff came with quite a bit of mixed feedback, as many were surprised by the ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ lyricist’s (who rarely ever does interviews) sighting. But… while the duo’s interaction may have sparked a virtual frenzy, their alleged fallout has caused an even more bizarre one.

Mysteriously, over the weekend, it was discovered that Drake and Althoff’s episode had been scrapped from YouTube and Spotify, and they’d both clicked the infamous ‘unfollow’ button on Instagram.

A clip of Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy citing what he (supposedly) heard about Drake and Althoff “hooking up” surfaced and has since added fuel to the fire.

In the video, Dave Portnoy recalled asking Althoff if it were true that she and Drake “slept together” and if she was getting a divorce from her husband, Cory.

Althoff responded by posting the exclusive DMs between her and Dave Portnoy, confessing that she didn’t want to interview Drake “in the first place” due to the scrutiny that she knew would come.

She captioned the post shared via her Instagram Story,

“I did not want to do this podcast in the first place, and now so much negativity is coming from it. I’m going to leave it alone after this but this is the uncensored DM between Dave and I.”

The screenshot of Dave Portnoy’s message to her said,

“My girlfriend says you hooked up with Drake and got divorced. I am saying that is not true.”

Althoff replied,

“I am not commenting publicly but off the record, you’re right that is not true.”

Portnoy co-signed Althoff’s statement and apologized for his team putting out an “edited” version of what he said about Althoff and Drake for clickbait.

He explained,

“I owe [Bobbi Althoff] an apology. She’s been in the news about her and [Drake] unfollowing each other after doing a pod together. All sorts of rumors about it. I asked her about it directly. She answered directly. Our social media team edited the clip to make it seem juicy which is bullsh*t.”

The media mogul added,

“We did her dirty.”

Additionally, Althoff posted (what appeared to be) a “comical” reel of her acting unenthused at one of Drake’s concerts, but #TeamDrake didn’t take that so well.

No confirmation of the reported feud between Drake and Althoff has been given yet. As for Drake, to our knowledge, he hasn’t spoken publicly about the situation at all.

Most believe the whole thing may be a publicity stunt — due to Althoff claiming that she has a big announcement on the way — while others are curious if there’s some truth to the wild allegations.
