Marcus Jordan Says Wedding Date ‘In The Works’ As He Addresses Plans To Marry Larsa Pippen
Are Marcus Jordan and Larsa Pippen ready to take the next step in their relationship?
The son of NBA superstar Michael Jordan and the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen were spotted leaving dinner in West Hollywood on Wednesday, where they were questioned whether wedding bells will be ringing for them in the near future.
Marcus Jordan responded, “We’re looking for a location,” when paparazzi inquired about the likelihood of a wedding between the two. Paparazzi then inquired as to whether a date had been established, and Marcus Jordan replied that one is “in the works.”
Larsa Pippen was seen with a band on that finger, though it’s not clear just yet if it’s an engagement ring. She has also rocked the ring in a few Instagram posts.
Unfortunately, Michael Jordan might be as thrilled about the news as the paparazzi.
While leaving a restaurant in Paris last month, the basketball star earlier declared that he did not approve of the relationship between his son and his arch rival’s ex-wife.
Larsa Pippen and Marcus later addressed the video, with Scottie Pippen‘s ex claiming the remarks left her feeling “embarrassed” and “traumatized,” and the latter insisting that his father had already given the relationship his stamp of approval.
During an appearance on the couple’s Separation Anxiety podcast, Larsa told Marcus,
“You thought it was funny. I didn’t think it was funny. There is nothing funny about it.…I kinda felt like it went everywhere and I was kind of embarrassed.”
Larsa explained she felt uncomfortable because she was worried the public thought she was lying about both families approving of the high-profile yet controversial relationship. She added,
“It literally went everywhere. I think people started to think that online they were saying that I was lying — that I lied and said that our parents are fine because I was doing interviews and saying both of our families are fine. When I would say that, I felt like I didn’t embellish that… and I would say both of our parents want us to be happy… I do understand that it’s not awkward for us to be together because it’s us.”
However, Marcus said his father’s comment was likely a joke that came after he consumed too much alcohol. The heir noted that his father texted him right after the paparazzi encounter to make sure he didn’t take his comments the wrong way.
Marcus said,
“I can only assume my dad, because he loves Cincoro and he drinks tequila all the time, that he was feeling himself a little bit…Obviously we knew ahead of time because he called me and texted me and wanted to make sure that I didn’t take anything the wrong way but then when the article came out, he texted me again and he never said ‘hell no’ and that’s not what the implications were.”
Regardless of who does or does not approve, the couple’s doesn’t appear to be ending their relationship any time soon.
