Quavo Plans To Enroll At The University Of Georgia In 2024: ‘I’m Going To Be A Student On Campus’
Looks like Atlanta rapper Quavo is preparing to become a college student!
In a new interview with Vibe Magazine, Quavo, real name Quavious Marshall, discussed his new collaboration with athletic headwear company Lids. Reportedly, the 32-year-old recently released his ball cap line, which pays tribute to the University of Georgia’s football team. During the conversation, Quavo revealed that he plans to enroll at the university next year.
He shared,
“Next year, I’m going to enroll myself into University of Georgia. I’m going to be a student on campus.”
Quavo, who was born in Athens where the university’s main campus is located, continued,
“I love UGA to the fullest. I just want everybody to rep this hat and put it on their head, because we ain’t capping about our rap.”
While the Migos rapper didn’t say what he’ll be studying at the school, he does believe that the Georgia Bulldogs football team will earn their consecutive third National Championship soon. He said,
“We coming hard this year and we going three-peat.”
The “Patty Cake” artist isn’t the only celeb to step away from the spotlight for an education.
Last year, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry graduated from Davidson College 13 years after dropping out of school to enter the NBA. The now 35-year-old professional athlete was one semester short after attending North Carolina College from 2006 to 2009. However, he ultimately re-enrolled at Davidson College for their spring semester, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Sociology last May.
Steph Curry previously took to social media to celebrate the milestone and wrote,
“Dream Come True!! Class of 2010….aka 2022 but we got it done! Thanks to my whole village that helped me get across the finish line. Made the promise when I left and had to see it through. Official Davidson College alum. Momma we made it!”
