Future & Drake Allegedly Fell Out Over A Woman

Social media users believe there’s some underlying tension between rap stars Drake and Future.

Rumors have been circulating that the former friends fell out over a woman recently, giving rise to suspicions that Drake is the subject of several Future disses from his new album.

In case you’re unfamiliar, Future and Metro Boomin recently released a joint project together called We Don’t Trust You. On the album’s eponymous first song, Future raps the lyric:

“You a n*gga number one fan, dog / Sneak dissin’, I don’t understand, dog / Pillowtalkin’, actin’ like a fed, dog / I don’t need another fake friend, dog”

Fans speculated that the rapper specifically chose to reiterate the word “dog” in the song to reference Drake’s For All The Dogs album he released in October of last year. As you may know, Drake and Future have not only been well known as friends, but also collaborators. The two teamed up for their popular 2015 mixtape What A Time To Be Alive and again for multiple singles, such as Future’s “Life Is Good” and the Grammy award winning “Wait For U” featuring Tems.

However, seeing as though Future gave way for his fellow rap star Kendrick Lamar to take an even more direct shot at Drake, it seems social media users feel more sure that Future and Drake must not on good terms at the moment. As we recently covered, Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole were all trending recently after the former appeared on an uncredited feature from Future and Metro’s new project, where he took aim at both of his rap colleagues.

Still, neither Drake nor Future have spoken publicly about the status of their relationship. Fans went on to further speculate that if the two did have a falling out it’s likely over a woman, as Future went on to rap the lyric:

“Can’t be ’bout a ho, ’cause we sharin’, dog / In you feelings, n*gga, why you playin’, dog?”

Somehow, internet users deduced that the woman Future may be referring to is an exotic dancer and social media influencer named Amber. Images of the woman have been surfacing online, though her involvement with the rappers has not been confirmed.
