Travis Scott – Astroworld Festival Financial Loss Lawsuit Against Rapper Dismissed
Travis Scott scored another win in the troubles that followed his tragic Astroworld Festival.
According to reports, the lawsuit he faced over financial loss from Ceremony of Roses following the festival has been dismissed without prejudice. The dismissal, filed by Ashlee Lin on behalf of CoR on March 22, noted the company wants the “entire action of all parties and all causes of action” removed from the court.

CoR reportedly teamed up with Travis Scott and Live Nation to bring the festival to fruition. The global media company was purportedly tasked with financing, establishing, operating, and dismantling the amusements featured at the event. It’s said that their agreement granted CoR the entitlement to recoup its initial costs and 50% of subsequent revenues.

CoR allegedly racked up a minimum of $700k in out-of-pocket expenses for the setup and operation of the amusements at Astroworld. As you may recall, the festival was scheduled to run over two consecutive nights, however, things ended early after a crowd crush occurred on the first night that left at least ten people dead and hundreds more injured.
Following the event, Travis Scott was hit with several lawsuits as many accused him of not having the safety of his fans in mind while he was on stage when the stampede took place. Last June it was determined the rapper wouldn’t face criminal charges for what occurred.
