Unrivaled 3-On-3 Women’s Basketball League Earns $27 Million In Debut Season, w/ Every Game Sold Out

Unrivaled women’s basketball league had a stellar first year!

According to a report from Afrotech, the 3-on-3 league pulled in over $27 million in revenue during its debut season, selling out every single game and nearly breaking even in its first year of business.

The success signals major financial potential in the league, which is expected to continue growing through ticket sales, merchandise, and expanded sponsorship opportunities.

Based in Florida, the league was founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart and currently offers the highest salaries in professional women’s sports, with players earning an average of $200K per season.

Champions also walk away with an additional $50K bonus. This year, Team Rose BC, led by Coach Nola Henry, took home the crown. Their roster included a powerhouse lineup with Brittney Sykes, Angel Reese, Kahleah Copper, Azurá Stevens, Lexie Hull, and Chelsea Gray.

The league has partnered with Samsung as their official presenting and tech sponsor, using smart devices like the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring to monitor player performance and recovery data in real time.

Looking ahead, Unrivaled hopes to build on its breakout season with even more investment opportunities. So far, celebs like Stephen Curry, Coco Gauff, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Carmelo Anthony, and Wanda Sykes have already backed the league, contributing, along with others, to a combined investment of $35 million.

Collier spoke about the potential of the league, sharing:

“Not only is it obviously great to invest in women’s sports, but investing in women’s sports is not a charity. This is also a profitable, equitable opportunity for people.”

With Unrivaled Commissioner Micky Lawler adding:

“This is sustainable…There’s definitely an appetite and great support for it.”
