Kyrie Irving Condemns ‘YN’ Generation As He Praises Love For God & Self: ‘I Don’t Want Anything To Do w/ It’
Kyrie Irving is speaking out against the “YN generation,” making it clear he has no ties to the term or the culture it represents. During a recent livestream, the Dallas Mavericks star denounced the phrase and its growing popularity, saying his values don’t align with it.
“I don’t support that YN generation y’all,” Kyrie said. “I’m good bro. I love God too much to be a YN. I’m just going to put it like that. I love myself too much to be a YN bro.”
Irving explained that he prefers being called “Unc” or “OG,” titles he feels carry respect and wisdom. “You can call me Unc, Y-OG or whatever it is,” he added. “We have a common enemy and y’all want to kill our own people, dog. I’m good.”
The NBA guard praised OGs who guide the youth. “Shout out to all and salute to all OGs that’s out there really putting the morals and principles into these youngins and putting their best foot forward and being family men.”
