Denzel Washington Shares Harsh Opinion On Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones: ‘He Ain’t Thinking About Us, He’s Thinking About His Pockets’ [VIDEO]
Denzel Washington didn’t hold back when sharing his critical thoughts on how Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been running the iconic NFL franchise.
The Oscar-winning actor, a longtime Cowboys fan, opened up about the matter during an appearance on First Take with Stephen A. Smith. Denzel admitted it’s becoming harder to support the team, saying bluntly about Jerry: “He ain’t thinking about us, he’s thinking about his pockets.”
Washington’s comments appeared to be in response to the ongoing contract standoff between the Cowboys and star defensive end Micah Parsons, who reportedly requested a trade after stalled negotiations on a potentially record-breaking extension.

Denzel closed out his comments with a message for Jones: “All money ain’t good money,” he warned, drawing a comparison between financial success and long-term greatness, emphasizing that there’s a difference between box office numbers and winning Oscars.
His frustration echoes a broader sentiment among Cowboys fans, as the team hasn’t reached the Super Bowl since the 1995 season, despite consistently having top-tier talent, making playoff appearances, and being one of the most valuable franchises in the sports world.
Do you agree with Denzel’s take on Jerry Jones?
