Michigan Football Players Feel ‘Betrayed’ By Ex-Head Coach Sherrone Moore, Who Was Fired After Having Inappropriate Relationship w/ Staff Member

Add the respect of his former players to the list of things #SherroneMoore has lost this month.

#Michigan interim head coach Biff Poggi recently spoke about the team’s mindset following Moore’s highly publicized firing and arrest. During a press conference ahead of Michigan’s Cheez-It Citrus Bowl matchup against the Texas Longhorns on December 31, Poggi addressed the emotional fallout, saying, “It has been a tumultuous time. A lot of anger, at first disbelief, then anger, then really, what we’re in right now is the kids, quite frankly, feel very betrayed, and we’re trying to work through that.”

Earlier this month, Moore, who is married and has three children, was fired after Michigan officials said they uncovered “credible evidence” that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Following his termination, Moore was arrested after allegedly breaking into the woman’s home and a$$aulting her. He was later charged with felonious third-degree home invasion, along with two misdemeanors: stalking in a dome$tic relationship and breaking and entering. Moore was released on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to return to court next month.
