Actor Anthony Anderson Says Rocsi Diaz Romance ‘Just Happened’ At The Right Time In Life After Years Of Being Friends

Anthony Anderson is putting the dating speculation to rest and speaking openly about his new romance with Rocsi Diaz.

The “Black-ish” star confirmed the relationship during a recent appearance on Angie Martinez’s “IRL Podcast,” where he described the connection as organic and unexpected.

“It was something that just happened. We just happened to be in the same place at the same time, at the right time…in life,” Anderson shared.

Addressing longtime curiosity about whether he admired Diaz during her “106 & Park” days, Anderson clarified, “I watched ‘106 & Park’ like, ‘Oh, she a cutie,’ but never was like, ‘I got to get with that.’” He added, “No, it was never that for me,” noting they’ve known each other for “almost 20 years.”

Reflecting on personal growth, Anderson said, “This happened, and I welcome it,” explaining that he’s now prioritizing balance beyond work.

“And this is where I am right now,” he concluded. “It’s a beautiful thing.”

Rumors surfaced earlier this month after the pair were spotted together during Golden Globes weekend.
