Is the BeyHive Responsible for Rachel Roy Canceling Appearance?

Rachel Roy has pulled out of a Monday evening appearance previously scheduled, according to Buzz Feed. The fashion designer was scheduled to speak at a “Mastering Your Métier” event in New York City organized by NeueHouse. Reportedly, the following email was sent out, sharing she would not be in attendance:

Due to a personal emergency, Rachel Roy has had to cancel this evening’s event. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

So why did Rachel Roy pull out? According to unconfirmed reports, this has everything to do with the backlash she’s faced since Beyonce’s Lemonade album was released Saturday evening.
