Jamie Foxx To Play Mike Tyson in Biopic
It looks like a biopic about the life of Mike Tyson is underway. Academy Award winning actor Jamie Foxx will play the legendary boxer. Tyson confirmed the news and gave an update on the status of the project stating:
It’s on, as of right now. Jamie Foxx has signed on for it. Filming hasn’t started yet but it’s going to happen. A lot of people aren’t going to like the things I’ve done in my life.
A source adds,
Mike knows it is Jamie’s dream to play him and they have talked about gym work and how he could put him through his paces. The only thing is if they go sparring and Mike connects, Jamie may never make any movie again.
Martin Scorsese will reportedly direct the film. No additional details about the project have been released.
Foxx (real name Eric Marlon Bishop) is an actor, singer, songwriter, musician, producer, and comedian. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor, BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, for his portrayal of Ray Charles in the 2004 biographical film “Ray.” The same year, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the crime film “Collateral.” As of spring 2017, Foxx serves as host and executive producer of the new Fox game show Beat Shazam.

Jaime is a talented actor and will knock it out of the park on this movie like he did the Ray (Charles) movie but he will have to gain more weight this time to play Tyson and esp. get a fatter head to be a Tyson look alike. Can’t wait to see if he can mimic Tyson’s high pitched girlie voice.
