Da Brat Still Plans To Listen To R.Kelly’s Music – I’ve Never Seen Him Do Anything Bad, But I Don’t Believe All These People Are Lying
Radio personality and reality star Da Brat gave her perspective on the unfolding of drama plaguing R. Kelly. Kelly – whose R&B legacy has taken an unpleasant turn following the airing of the Lifetime documentary “Surviving R. Kelly–” has been condemned by several public figures including Lady Gaga, Chance the Rapper, Keke Palmer, and Matthew Knowles; received severe backlash from the public; and more recently, has been dropped by Sony Music.

Da Brat offered her perspective,
I’ve never seen him do anything bad, but I don’t believe all of these people are lying, but at the same time, where are the parents? I think he needs help for sure – I love him – I hope he don’t get mad at me, and I think the parents need to take responsibility, where’s your 14 year old child? Why are you there? Something is wrong with that.
When asked if she would continue to listen to the music,
I can’t stop listening to the music. Never will I stop music. I might not buy it no mo’, but it’s already in my uh, playlists.

Tracy Sampson, R. Kelly
Much like Da Brat, Erykah Badu and Kanye West are two artists who’ve shown a lending hand to Kelly in this shaky time. Since the airing of the documentary, a new woman who claims to have been a victim of Kelly’s alleged sexually abusive past has come forward with her own story, as well.
