Michelle Rodriguez Thinks Liam Neeson Isn’t Racist Because Of How He Kissed Viola Davis
The controversy surrounding Liam Neeson’s admission that he wanted to “kill” a black man after a close friend was raped by one, is continuing to have a snowball effect that just keeps getting worse. This time, the situation involves actress Michelle Rodriguez, who thinks that Neeson isn’t racist because of his love scene with former co-star Viola Davis.
Ever since Liam Neeson revealed that he went looking for a black man to “kill” for a week following the news that his friend had been raped, fellow celebrities have jumped into the fray and offered their own takes on his controversial comments. From D. L. Hughley and Wale to Terry Crews, Hollywood is openly supporting or condemning Neeson.
The latest celeb to offer their opinion is actress Michelle Rodriguez, who recently co-starred with Neeson in the crime-thriller Widows, where he played the husband of star Viola Davis. Davis and Neeson had a brief love scene in the film that shows them in bed passionately kissing, and because of this Rodriguez thinks Neeson can’t possibly be racist.

While on the red-carpet at the amfAR Gala New York, Rodriguez didn’t mince words when she described why she thought the claims calling Neeson racist are “bulls**t”:
“It’s all fuckin’ bullshit. Liam Neeson is not a racist. Dude, have you watched ‘Widows’? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bullshit. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.”

As with all things involving this hot topic, expect Rodriguez’s statement to pick up steam, inspiring other celebrities to give their sides as well.
Do you agree with Michelle Rodriguez? Can you be racist and still kiss a black person? Let us know in the comments.
