Nia Long Says She Was Discriminated Against During American Airlines Flight: White Entitlement Does NOT Fly
Celebrities and everyday people alike are not playing with companies when it comes to racism and discrimination.
Nia Long said she hopped on her first flight since the COVID-19 outbreak but unfortunately had a negative experience.
She tweeted American Airlines Saturday (June 6th), calling out a woman for discriminating against her.
She wrote,
Hey @AmericanAir I have a story about my first flight experience since COVID. I’m pretty sure I met ‘Karen’ aka Gina. You have to do better. Blatant discrimination will no longer be tolerated. White entitle does NOT fly in this new day. Check your employees. More to come.
American Airlines responded to her tweet, asking her to send a private message “with more details about what happened.”

Based on the end of her tweet, it looks like she’ll be sharing more details sooner than later.
Several celebrities have been using their voices and platforms in the wake of civil unrest weeks after the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died by the hands of a white police officer.
