Tyler Perry Purchases Vehicle For Women’s Organization In Atlanta
Famed director/writer and celebrated do-gooder Tyler Perry has been dedicated to lending his celebrity to philanthropy efforts for years, and this year is no different. Erica Wright, the founder of an Atlanta women’s organization, recently shared that Tyler Perry donated a brand-new cargo van to her cause yesterday (June 25th) as a gift. Her organization,
“…provides people in need the basics for health, hygiene and love.”
Erica Wright told Facebook Live viewers:
“Hey guys, I told you I had some exciting news today. Yesterday, after we aired on Channel 2, Tyler Perry called and told me he was going to donate a van. I am so excited!”

She continued, thanking Tyler Perry:
“This is a community right now that is being overlooked. We’re providing something that people need just to be able to keep clean and to have something to eat. If our homeless are not clean and they don’t have the things that they need, it is definitely going to affect our environment…Mr. Perry what you do for the community is truly amazing! May God continue to bless you and keep you in perfect peace.”
A few of Tyler Perry’s other noted good deeds from this year include: providing the mother of Eric Garner with a private plane to attend George Floyd‘s memorial service and paying for the Atlanta funeral of Rayshard Brooks. All three men were killed while in police custody.
