Snoop Dogg May Be Hit With A Lawsuit After Revealing Ubereats Driver’s Personal Information On Instagram
Snoop Dogg may have yet another lawsuit on his hands!
A month after the West Coast rapper shared a conversation between he and an Ubereats driver to his instagram, the driver tells news outlets he fears for his safety, and is planning to hire a lawyer to potentially sue the big name rapper.
Following a failed Ubereats delivery attempt, Death Row Records owner Snoop Dogg took to his Instagram account to air his frustrations back in January of this year. In doing so, the rapper is said to have shared the drivers sensitive information such as name, photo, and license plate number.
Now, the Uber employee says his job is compromised and intends to hire a lawyer to see about suing the rap icon.
In the video, Snoop discusses his annoyance with the Ubereats driver who first says he’s arrived, but after realizing he was in Inglewood, sends another message stating he’s not in a safe place.
Snoop reads the conversation while showing it on video saying:
“F–ing Ubereats didn’t bring my f–ing food talkin’ bout he arrived, this is not a safe place. Punk m–er f–er where my food at?! You got all my g—-mn money punk!”
In the video, you can see Snoops response to the driver saying it’s not a safe place texting:
“Yes it is pull up to the gate.”
“The black Gate. N drop. Off the food I paid 4.”
The driver, who revealed himself to media outlets only as Sayd, says that he fears his safety has been compromised as millions of people now know his name, has seen his picture and his license plate number.
In an interview he stated:
“There’s my picture there and also there is my first name. After I see the video, I’m kind of like…I have anxiety and I fear for my family’s safety.”
Ubereats issued a statement apologizing to Snoop for the failed delivery, and said they’d given the rap artist a full refund on his order stating:
“We truly regret Snoop Dogg’s frustrating experience. We have reached to apologize and refunded him for the order.”
The driver said he didn’t know he was delivering to the hip-hop icon, but was put off by arriving to an industrial complex in the Inglewood neighborhood of California. After seeing Ubers statement to Snoop, the Ubereats driver stated:
“When I read that, I just felt like it’s not fair because I am the one that deserves an apology from Uber Eats, not Snoop. But I have to fight for my rights and family’s rights. I just feel like I’m not treated well from this celebrity or Uber Eats.”
Ubereats said it protects its drivers by using anonymous phone numbers for drivers and customers to communicate, and omits the last name of drivers. However the delivery company also stated they do use license plates so that the customer will know they are getting the correct order.
The driver says that he is looking into hiring a lawyer to potentially sue the rapper for sharing sensitive information and loss of work.
