Chris Brown Ordered To Pay Backup Dancer $15k Over Eye Injuries Sustained On Set Of His Music Video
Missing a court hearing isn’t the best thing to do.
According to reports, Chris Brown ignoring a court case has resulted in his former backup dancer being awarded nearly $15,000 for an injury. Danielle Griffin filed a lawsuit against the “Under The Influence” artist in 2019 due to the eye injuries she sustained after someone on the set of Chris Brown’s music video poured fake blood over her face without the proper protection.

The incident occurred in 2017 in Downtown Los Angeles during filming of the singer’s “High End” music video. Allegedly, an individual from the makeup or wardrobe department approached Griffin to pour a blood-like substance on her face. Griffin reportedly expressed concern over the liquid being directly on her as she wasn’t wearing eye protection. However, she was allegedly told that she had nothing to worry about.
Unfortunately for the dancer, that wasn’t true. Her lawsuit claimed that she soon started to experience issues. Images shared with TMZ around the time she initially filed her complaint showed Griffin with green pus oozing from her swollen red eyes. It reportedly took months for Griffin to fully recover, causing her to have to drop out of her master’s degree program and turn down job opportunities.

It’s reported that Chris Brown blew off the case, leading to the recently awarded default judgment. Griffin was purportedly awarded $11,411 in damages and $3,566.95 labeled as “costs.”
