[Video] Twenty Years Later ::: Remembering the L.A. Riots

Twenty years ago, I had never been to Los Angeles. I was a little girl, watching from across the country, confused at what I was seeing. I remember my mother and assumed that the entire world was upset. The following film gives us a glimpse of that period. It documents how hip hop forecasted — and some say ignited — the worst civil unrest of the 20th century, revisiting the riots from the perspectives of rappers, rioters, victims, police officers, journalists and folk from South Central Los Angeles.
