(EXCLUSIVE) Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant – Heads to Court Over Ex-Business Partner Screwing Him Out of 60k
He states that he will question Butler and his company – G3 Sports Marketing – and Representation about all business, financial relationships and transactions between him and Butler, all monies, compensation and property that Butler received on his behalf and all representations the company made to third parties that related to him.
Bryant claimed that it would save everyone time and energy – including the courts – if he is allowed to take Butler’s depo, to narrow down what exactly he will sue the man for when he files his lawsuit.
Last month, Butler fired back at the NFL star’s request claiming his entire filing was vague and called his demand for a depo nothing more than a “fishing expedition”.
Bryant then filed docs on August 6th giving more detail to his claims that Butler screwed him out of cash.
He says that he wants to grill Butler in regards to money owed in relation to a FanDuel Fantasy Football promotion agreement that generated a substantial amount of money.
The legal docs explain that Bryant believes over 60k was paid to Butler and his company that was suppose to go to him. He explains that the money was either paid to Butler or a third party and he has attempted to find out by sending legal letters for the financial documents related to money he was to be paid but nobody has turned over anything.
He says that a depo will allow him to figure out who to slap with a lawsuit over the unpaid $60K.
