Hollywood Exes’ Andrea Kelly On Reality TV: You act a fool, they’re going to film a fool.

Kelly understands the role that reality television has on influencing certain behaviors, but knows that the influence doesn’t stop when the show or season ends.

 You need to be aware of what you put out there, and you have to also be aware that you are responsible for your part in the [lives of] young girls’ and even older women watching you.

Kelly knows that the expectations of petty drama is consistent in reality television, but doesn’t fall into the hype.

The last time I had a fight I also had a lunch box. We may not like each other, but as a woman I’m going to respect you. I love hard, I protect even harder.

“Hollywood Exes” has only encouraged Drea to continue chasing her dreams. With three DVD dance workout videos and a high end dance wear fashion line called “Anonsia,” Drea remains busy while trying to find the balance for business and personal.

We’re not sure where she finds the time. But after being married to R.Kelly for more than ten years, Kelly has some advice for women married to entertainers in Hollywood.

I would say be assertive, but not aggressive. And here’s the difference: being assertive means I’m going to speak up for what I want to do. I’m going to go forward and make these dreams happen.

Drea isn’t afraid to let people know that during this part in her life, she’s taking this time to focus on herself and her own opinions.

This is about me, my dreams, my desires in life, the world seeing my talents…so for me, it’s not about his [R. Kelly] approval, it wasn’t my kids approval, if God approves because he brought it to me, I’m good. That was the only approval I needed.
